About this Web Site
This web site launched in 1997 as a place to share information and resources that would be relevant and helpful to educators, counselors, and parents, and to support and enhance the work I was doing in my presentations and seminars, as well as in my writing and research.
The site is designed and maintained by me (Jane Bluestein, Father Sky Graphics), pretty much for lack of reliable or affordable help. Whatever you find on this site, for better or worse, is my doing.
Privacy
If people trust me enough to give me their email or other contact information, you can be sure that I will never share this information with anyone. Ever.
If you contact me...
I keep email addresses from people who contact me unless otherwise advised. Also, if it is not already available on this site when this page launches, I will eventually have a data base and a place for visitors to sign in if they want to hear from me when:
- I release a new product
- I make significant additions to this web site
- I am looking for feedback or input regarding a partiular project on which I’m workng
These are the only times you will hear from me. At some point, I may develop a newsletter, but because of my travel schedule and other writing commitments, it is unlikely that this will happen often or, for that matter, very soon.
About requests to forward information
I’ve made it a policy for years not to pass on information in batch forwards, no matter how bad my luck is supposed to get if I don’t. If I see or receive something I like, something that feels consistent with the mission of this web site, I will post it somewhere on these pages.
Why you don’t see our email address anywhere (in text)
My email address is in the purple bar at the bottom of every page on this site—along with our mailing address and telephone numbers. This is a graphic and, at this time, is not linked to the javascript necessary to generate an actual email. This is the only place you will see this email address.
I’ve been told that one of the ways spammers can get your email address is through searches on Web sites. So while you will find numerous opportunities to contact us, you won’t find our actual address in the text on any of the pages in this site. (The actual address is scrambled in the code in the script that generates the email.)
You can get the address from the graphic at the bottom of every page (purple bar) by clicking on one of those links and opening an email. If you’d prefer, give us a call (1-800-688-1960, 505-323-9044, or 505-250-3965) or click here and get the address off the email you create.
Let me know...
There are so many ways to mess up a web page, it boggles the mind. I’ve been moving a lot of pages and have been testing links, changing the broken ones when I find them, but working with so many pages, it’s easy to miss things.
If you find anything that requires my attention—a bad link, a missing ALT tag, a typo or any weird casualty of “cut and paste”—please do not hesitate to contact me.
