Coming Soon

Plans and Good Intentions Listed Here

July 13, 2010

The new book, Becoming a Win-Win Teacher, is finally finished and I’ve had a chance to catch my breath. I’m currently working on a new edition of a golden oldie, Parents in a Pressure Cooker, one of my first books, co-authored with Lynn Collins, Ph.D. The book will be available as an ebook (PDF download) and for a bit more, as a soft-cover book through Cafe Press.

Also on deck:

An electronic version of the TeacherTapes, hopefully available as an mp3 download and possibly available on CD as well.

Digital (DVD) versions of several video presentations that are currently only available on VHS.

I’m about 2/3 of the way through the first draft revision on the Parents book and am still waiting for feedback from Lynn. Content revisions aside, I still have quite a bit of work to do as far as laying the material out, converting graphics, and figuring out how to get this all set up on Cafe Press.

The TeacherTapes are already in digital form. I just need to get them set up as a download. I also have to create the graphics for the CD label and work out some of the details of printing and creating a finished product for anyone who wants more than just the download.

The video conversions will require me to learn a whole lot more than I currently know, so this may be a while. But do know that I am working very steadily on getting these and other ideas out to the public. Watch my blog for further details.

Audio and video online. Once I finish reconstructing this site, I plan to build in some multimedia to give visitors access to audio and video presentations directly on this site. In the meantime, click here for links to two podcasts.

Right now, my focus is on completing the update of all of the pages on this site. I am a little less than half done—this is taking forever! While I admit that I am enjoying the process, I understand that linking to a page that looks so different from the page you’re on can be somewhat disconcerting. So the immediate “coming soon” is a fresh look and cleaner navigation throughout this site.
