What Jane’s Been Up To:

Having spent the past year researching my new book—now being called Creating Emotionally Safe Schools—I'm in the process of writing. At the moment, I’m on Chapter 8. I've got about 800 resources, including books, articles, web sites, interviews and survey responses. Much to juggle. (It's been a long time since I've done a research-based project—wondering what I was thinking!) Progress is slow but I like what I've got so far. (I now have a copy of a Checklist for Creating Emotionally Safe Schools, which will appear in this book, in the handouts section of this site. Check it out!)

Hope to have some time later this summer to spend updating this web site—there's so much I want to add!—but it may be closer to the end of the year.

Not much else going on. (This book is eating my life!!) I do have some exciting speaking engagements coming up. As always, check the schedule for details.
