Z-coil Shoes
People keep asking me about my “funny shoes” and this is where I direct them. I bought two pair of Z-coil shoes in August 2008 and since then rarely wear anything else. Great back and arch support, and for the first time in a long time, I can spend the entire day on my feet and not be all bent over and sore at the end of a seminar. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone who does a lot of standing or walking.

“Busting the 8-hour Sleep Myth: Why You Should Wake up in the Night”
A very interesting article on insomnia. It seems as though “bi-phasic sleep” (waking in the middle of the night and then going back to sleep again after some time) is more natural than I realized. Kind of reassuring, as this has been my pattern for years. It’s still inconvenient to be up in the middle of the night, especially if I have to be up early the next day, but this article shares a perspective I hadn’t seen elsewhere.
