About these photosWhen I was redesigning this site in 2003, I wanted to make my home page as personal as possible. I pulled out a bunch of slides and photos I had taken over the years and the result is the photobar at the left. The only shot I did not take is the 6th one down. The photos include the following: 1. Two kindergarteners at Chartiers Elementary school in Pittsburgh (where I was teaching at the time), late 1970s. 2. Young kids at a Laguna Pueblo festival, New Mexico, about 1981. 3. Two of my fourth graders, Chartiers Elementary, Pittsburgh, late 1970s. 4. Teacher and student, Special Ed, Chartiers Elementary, Pittsburgh, late 1970s. 5. Teen girls hanging out in Singapore, 1998. 6. A vintage picture of ME— helping a student in my classroom, Chartiers Elementary School, Pittsburgh, probably around 1977 or 1978. 7. A couple of teens I met in Sydney, 1999. Throughout the site, I’ve used a combination of clipart and photos from my own personal collection. Changing schools, one heart at a time.
