So You Want to Write a Book?

Presentation by Jane Bluestein, Ph.D.

So you’ve got a great idea? Why not share it with the world?

The author of 10 (so far!) books explores various dimensions– practical, strategical and emotional–of writing books and getting them published!

Having started as a self-published author after writing a 400+ page survival manual for the beginning teachers in her Intern program, Jane has since worked with nearly a dozen different publishers.

Topics include identifying your market, pitching your project (including writing a terrific proposal), contract issues, dealing with rejections, media and promotions, things you never imagine could go wrong, distributing your own materials, and options such as self-publishing and e-books. Emphasis on non-fiction.
